Hartwick Professor Receives More Funding to Continue Autism Research
Visiting Assistant Professor of Biology at Hartwick College, Dr. Anthony Russo has received another grant from the Autism Research Institute (ARI) in the amount of $5,520.
This funding will allow Russo to continue his studies on the role of biomarkers in the etiology of autism. The grant, a study to investigate NRG1 in autistic children, will be used in part to fund projects which will involve cooperative research with undergraduate students at Hartwick College.
This grant is Hartwick's seventh from the ARI since the fall of 2011. Overall, the Institute has supported research at the College since 2009 by funding 12 projects for a total of more than $90,000.
